Green Smoothies are a super alternative to bacon and eggs for breakfast.  Did you know that leafy greens have more valuable nutrients than any other food group? They contain high-quality amino acids (which are the building blocks of protein), important minerals, vitamins, antioxidants, and beneficial phytochemicals (plant-based chemicals also known as phytonutrients). 

Here’s a delicious recipe using Persimmons to get you started! Persimmons are packed with Vitamin A (50% RDI) and antioxidant power – 20% of daily Vitamin C, carotenoids & bioflavanoids, and trace amounts of iron and calcium. Adding persimmons to your diet can contribute to a healthier digestive, heart and immune system and healthy vision maintenance.

In this smoothie

4-6 large cos leaves
1 cup frozen pineapple
1 Persimmon
Coriander (for detox)
Coconut Oil (or other healthy fat to aid in assimilation of nutrients)
3 pitted dates
Grated fresh ginger to taste

Optional – LSAC (a combination of ground linseed, sunflower seeds, almonds and chia seeds)
